Medical Assistant

Your Orientation
Your orientation to Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group will consist of self-study materials completed prior to your arrival and a clinic orientation on your first day of work. Expected outcomes include:

  • Medical Assistants will feel comfortable and knowledgeable in the environment.
  • Basic competencies will be validated.
  • Regulatory standards will be met.

Our goal is that you will be able to meet the same high standards of behavior and patient care that are expected of our own associates.

Before working at a Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare facility, the Credentialing Checklist must be completed by the agency and faxed to the clinic office, along with all supporting documents.

Step Two: Forms

Please print a copy of the Agency WFMG MA Orientation Checklist. Review all items listed under Self-Study and check them off on the list. This list will be signed and dated after the clinic orientation portion of orientation is completed.

Confidentiality Statement
Please print, review, and sign the Confidentiality Statement. Bring it along to the clinic.

The Journey
Please review the Expections for the Journey .

Please print, review, and sign the Expectations for the Journey Commitment Statement. Bring it along on your first day of work to turn in to the manager or supervisor of the clinic you will be working.

Step Three: Self-Study

Step Four: On-Site Clinic Orientation
(Your First Work Shift)
You must complete the self study portion of the orientation prior to attending the clinic orientation. The clinic orientation content builds on the self-study materials and you will not be able to participate effectively if you do not come prepared. Bring the completed, signed, and dated Orientation Checklist, Confidentiality Statement and Expectations for the Journey Commitment Statement with you to your first shift.

After you have completed the self-study and clinic portions of your orientation, you are eligible to work at a WFH facility. When you come to the clinic for your first shift, you can expect to meet clinic staff, tour the clinic and find out some things that are specific to that clinic.

When you are scheduled to work a shift, you should arrive one half hour early and complete the clinic orientation portion of the Agency WFMG MA Orientation Checklist. Once completed, please sign and date the checklist and the manager/supervisor will have it placed in your file.

Thank you for choosing Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare!

If you have any questions, please contact your agency, or the manager or supervisor of clinic you will be working.
